Munneswaram Temple – is an important regional Hindu Temple complex in Sri Lanka. It has been in existence at least since 1000 CE although myths surrounding the temple associate it with the popular Indian epic Ramayana and its legendary hero – king Rama. The temple is one of the ancient pancha iswarams dedicated to shiva in the region.
Manawari Temple – is the first place where Lord Rama installed and prayed the SHIVA LINGUM. Manawari Temple is one of the significant Hindu temple which linked to the Ramayana Srilanka yatra.

Sigiriya Rock – is an ancient rock fortress and UNESCO World Heritage site in Sri Lanka. Famous for its ruins of royal palace atop a massive rock column. Build by King Kashyapa in the 5th century AD , it is also known as “ Lion Rock “ and features impressive water gardens, frescoes, and a mirror wall. Visitors can Climb the 1200 steps to the summit to explore the remains of the palace and enjoy panoramic views of the surrounding Landscape.

Royal Cave Temple ( Golden Temple of Dambulla) – is a World Heritage site (1991) in Sri Lanka. Dambulla is the largest and Best- preserved cave temple complex in Sri Lanka. The rock towers 160m (150ft) over the surrounding plains. There are more then eighty documented caves in the surrounding area. Major attractions are spread over five caves, These paintings and statues are related to Gautama Buddha and his life. There are a total of 153 Buddha statues. Three statues of Srilankan Kings and for statues of gods and goddesses. The latter include VISHNU and GANESHA.
Kandy (Mahanuwara) – is a city in Central Srilanka, known as the Island’s culturel capital, with a rich history as the last royal capital and a UNESCO World Heritage site. Kandy is the home of the Temple of the Tooth Relic (Sri Dalada Maligawa) , one of the most sacred places of worship in the Buddhist world.
Thirukoneswaram – According to one Hindu Legend, Shiva at Koneswaram was worshipped by INDRA, king of the gods. king Ravana of the epic Ramayana and his mother are believed to have worshiped shiva in the sacred lingam form at koneswaram circa 2000 BCE, the cleft of Swami Rock is attributed to Ravana’s great strength. According to this tradition, his Father- in -Low MAYA built the ketheeswaram temple in mannar. Ravana is believed to have brought the swayambhu lingam in the temple to koneswaram, one of sixty – nine such lingams he carried from Mount Kailash.

Sri Bhaktha Hanuman Temple- constructed by theChinmaya mission of Sri Lanka. The temple offers sweeping views over the kotmale Reservoir and has become a popular stop for travelers of the Ramayana Trail. This Hanuman temple was constructed in 1999 and it is Believed that Hanuman was searching for SETA DEVI and still there are some Ramayana facts available in this area.
Day 06.

Seetha Amman temple – in Seetha Eliya, has been constructed in what is believed to be the last location Sita was held captive by Ravana . It is possibly the only temple in the world to be dedicated to Sita.
Divurumpola Buddhist Temple – has become a major Hindu Pilgrimage site, as it is said to be the Location of Sita’s famous fire ordeal, the AGNI PARIKSHA.

Kataragama Temple – in Kataragama, is a temple complex dedicated to Buddhist Guardian deity Kataragama deviyo and Hindu War God Murugan
Ussangoda- According to the Hindu Puranas, Ussangoda was one of the Landing strips of Ravana’s Pushpaka Vimana
Rumassala mountain- According to the Ramayana Legend, it’s a piece of the Himalayan Mountain dropped by the monkey god Hanuman, who was carrying the magical SANJEEWANI herb to save the wounded Lakshmana
Day 08

Panchamuga Anjaneyar Temple – considered as the first Anjaneyar Temple in Sri Lanka. Also this Panchamuga Anjaneyar Temple in Srilanka which dedicated to LORD HANUMAN in this panchamuga from , meaning five faces . It is also said to be the only temple in the world to have a chariot for Anjaneyar
Kelaniya Buddhist Temple ( Vibhishana Temple)- Kelaniya is very important Buddhist Temple in Sri Lanka. There is a direct link between Ramayana tour Srilanka and Kelaniya Buddhist Temple. Ramayana states that after the death of King Ravana, King Vibhishana was crowned by Lakshmana. So Kelaniya is the place which had been ruled by Vibhishana.
