After breakfast, proceed to Sigiriya via E 04-Ambepussa-Trincomalee Hwy. Once in Sigiriya, set off on a jeep for an afternoon elephant safari at Minneriya National Park. After Breakfast, in the morning visit the highly attractive Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Sigiriya is one of the most valuable historical monuments of Sri Lanka. Referred by locals as the EIGHTH WONDER of the world. This ancient palace and fortress complex has significant archaeological importance and attracts thousands of tourists every year. It is probably the most visited tourist destination of Sri Lanka. The fortress complex includes remnants of a ruined palace, surrounded by an extensive network of fortifications, vast gardens, ponds,canals,alleys and fountains.The gardens of sigiriya are among the oldest landscaped gardens in the world. Since 3th century BC the rocky plateau of Sigiriya has served as a monastery. In the second half of the 5 th century KING KASYAPA decided to construct a royal residence here. After his death Sigiriya again became a Buddhist monastery until the 14th century, when it was abandoned. After your historic exploration in Sigiriya, spend the rest of the day relaxing . Kandy is your destination today. After Breakfast, drive to the Island heart of hill capital of Kandy, visiting Herbal and Spice Garden en route. In a herbal garden you will learn about SRILANKAN SPICES and HEALTH PROPERTIES of herbs. Spices include cocoa, vanilla,cinnamon,cloves, coriander, coffee, nutmeg, pepper, cardamon, aloevera,iriweriya(tulsi) and the henna plant.
After the herbal garden, the journey continues to Kandy. Evening attent Kandy cultural dance performance and visit the Temple of the Sacred tooth Relic of Buddha. Overnight Kandy.

Nuwara Eliya, your destination today. After Breakfast, proceed to TEA capetted Nuwara Eliya visiting the tea factory and plantation en route. While you visit the tea factory, testing a best cup of tea is fantastic. After Spending a wonderful time at the tea factory, the journey continues to Nuwara Eliya. Day 07.

After Breakfast, in the morning visit the highly attractive Horton Plain National Park. Better known locally as ”Maha Eliya Thenna” or the great open plain. The Horton Plain National Park is a vast protected plateau in the central highland of Sri Lanka covered by montane grassland and cloud forest and home to numerous species of plants, birds, and animals, including the endangered slender loris. Located at an altitude of between 2103 and 2286 metres and covering some 3160 hectares,the Horton Plain is considered Sri Lanka’s most important watershed with the headwaters of three major rivers, the MAHAWELI, KELANI, and WALAWE located here. The sheer precipice of WORLD’S END and BAKER’S FALLS are among the tourist attractions of the park. In july 2010, the Horton Plains and the nearby peak wilderness sanctuary were inscribed on UNESCO World Heritage list. The Dutch Fort ( Galu Kotuwa) also know the ” Ramparts of Galle,” in the Bay of Galle on the southwest coast of Sri Lanka, was built first in 1588 by the portuguese, then extensively fortified by the Dutch during the 17th century from 1649 onwards. The fort has a colourful history,and today has a multi – ethnic and multi – religious population.The Srilankan government and many Dutch people who still own some of the properties inside the fort are looking at making this one of the modern wonders of the world.The heritage value of the fort has been recognized by the UNESCO and the site has been inscribed as a cultural heritage UNESCO World Heritage site under criteria iv, for its unique exposition of ”an urban ensemble which illustrates the interaction of European architecture and South Asian traditions from the 16th to the 19th centuries.This historic city is a delight to explore on food, An endlessly exotic old trading port blessed with imposing Dutch – colonial buildings, ancient mosques churches, grand mansions, museums.and old stylish cafes.Most travellers are utterly seduced by Galle,s ambience, and it’s undoubtedly southern Srilanka’s one unmissable sight.
