Day 01.

Colombo

On arrival you will be met by our Chauffeur Guide ,Who will take you into the Capital city of Colombo. After arriving at your hotel, rest and relax and recover from any jet lag. If you have spare time our guide will take you to explore around Colombo. Overnight Colombo 

Day 02.

Anuradhapura

After a lovely breakfast leave for Anuradhapura Via – Kuliyapitiya – Tabuttegama (A28) road, visit The Wilpattu National Park en route. Lunch at Wilpattu close by, afternoon join for Wilpattu National Park Safari.

At 1317 sq km, Wilpattu is Sri Lanka’s largest National Park. And also, one of the best places to see leopards in Sri lanka. As well as lakes you ‘ll also find huge swaths of dense, dry country woodland, masses of birds, with a little luck, an impressive array of wildlife including leopards, sloth bears, spotted deer, wild pigs and crocodiles. A safari in wilpattu is very different from any of the other major National Parks. Visitor numbers remain very low and even in the high season it’s common for there to be no more than a handful of tourist jeeps in the parks at any one time. This gives wilpattu a wonderful, and genuine, wilderness feeling. Birders in particular will love wilpattu with its abundance of dry forest, water and even coastal birds.

After the safari, proceed to Anuradhapura and spent the evening rest and relaxing at  the Hotel .

Day 03.

Anuradhapura

Morning visit the ancient city of Anuradhapura. Also known as Sri Lanka’s first capital. Founded in the 5C B.C . This major city represents early civilization on a giant scale. The three colossal stupas that define this stupendous site are some of the largest monuments ever constructed in the ancient world, exceeded only by the pyramids at Giza, Egypt. Anuradhapura is one of south Asia’s most evocative sights. The sprawling complex contains a rich collection of archaeological and architectural wonders : enormous dagobas, soaring brick towers, ancient pools and crumbling temples, built during Anuradhapura’s thousand years of rule over Sri Lanka.

After visiting Sri Mahabodhi, Ruwanwelisaya, Mihintale and other archaeological places and ruins, time to have a break. Overnight Anuradhapura

Day 04.

Sigiriya

  • Highlight : Discover the Ancient city of Polonnaruwa

Beginning in the morning, proceed to the ancient city of Sigiriya, visiting Polonnaruwa en route. Polonnaruwa is a UNESCO world Heritage site. It was an Island capital from the 11th to the 13th century. Kings ruled the central plains of Sri Lanka from Polonnaruwa 800 years ago, when it was a thriving commercial and religious centre. For three centuries Polonnaruwa was a royal capital of both the Choola and Sinhalese kingdoms. A short but glorious period which allowed a flourishing of Buddhist arts and architecture.

Discovering the Vatadage, Lankathilaka temple, Famous Galvihara and other ancient ruins after, relax in the nature surrounding Sigiriya. Overnight Sigiriya

Day 05.

Sigiriya

  • Highlight :  Discover the Sigiriya Fortress ,  Elephant Safari in Kaudulla National Park

After breakfast visit the 5th century Sigiriya Rock Fortress. Also known as a ”LION’S ROCK”. Sigiriya rock fortress was built by King Kassapa in the 5th century A.D. And was a royal citadel for more than 18 years. It is a complex of buildings, part royal palace, part fortified town, and water gardens on par with the best in the ancient world, constitute a magnificent and unique architectural feat of the ancient Sinhalese. In a sheltered pocket approached by a spiral stairway are the famous Sigiriya frescoes, the earliest surviving pictorial art of Sri Lanka and of the same period as the Ajantha frescoes of India.The summit of the rock with an area of nearly one hc. Was the site of the palace. It is regarded as the 8th wonder of the ancient world.  

After the Lion’s rock , 45 km drive bring us to the Kaudulla National park  to get  your exiting Elephant safari experiance . Overnight Sigiriya

Day 06.

Kandy

  • Highlight : Visit Dambulla Royal Cave Temple and Herbal and Spice Garden

After breakfast leave for hill capital of Kandy visiting the Dambulla Royal Cave temple and herbal and spice garden en route. Dambulla is a remarkable cave temple containing Buddhist murals and statues. The beautiful royal cave temple complex sits abouth 160 m above the road in the southern part of Dambulla. Five separate caves contain abouth 150 absolutely stunning Buddha statues and paintings from the caves there are superb. Views over the surrounding countryside, Sigiriya is clearly visible some 20 km distant.

After discovering Dambulla royal cave temple visit a herbal and spice garden in Matale. Here you will learn abouth Sri Lankan spices and health properties of herbs. Evening get a experience of Kandyan cultural danceing. Later, visit the temple of the sacred tooth relic of the Buddha and witness traditional drumming during ” pooja ” evening. Overnight Kandy..

Day 07.

Kandy

  • Highlight : Visit the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, Lankathilaka temple & Royal Botanical Gardens of Peradeniya.

In the morning, drive to the Pinnawela Elephant Orphanage, making a short stop off at the famous Kandy View Point and Bahirawakanda temple en route. The Pinnawela Orphanage was established to feed, nurse, and house young elephants found abandoned by their mothers. It was established in 1975 by the Sri Lanka Department of Wildlife Conservation. On August 31, 2021, a 25-year-old elephant named “Surangi” gave birth to twin male baby elephants at the orphanage. It also marked the first instance of the birth of twin elephants in Sri Lanka after a gap of 80 years since 1941. Pinnawela has the largest herd of captive elephants in the world.In 2011, there were 96 elephants, including 43 males and 68 females from 3 generations, living in Pinnawela.

After Pinnawela, visit the famous Lankathilaka temple. This temple, mounted on a rocky bluff, is divided into two halves—one half Buddhist and one half Hindu. It features a Buddha image, Kandy period paintings, rockface inscriptions, and stone elephant figures. The stunning view around the temple is fantastic.

After the temple, drive to the famous Royal Botanical Garden in Peradeniya. Thereafter, drive back to Kandy and spend the evening walking around the Kandy lake at your leisure. Overnight Kandy.

Day 08.

Ella

After breakfast drive to the Nanu Oya railway station (Nanu Oya station, 8 km outside of Nuwara Eliya) in time for your Ella train. This ride takes you throught stunning landscapes of green and lush TEA plantations and mountain views.The journey takes abouth 2-3 hours and said to be one of the most scenic, epic train journeys in not only jest Sri Lanka but the World. The views on both sides of the railway are breathtaking.The scenery continually changes throughout the trip. Often at times, you are looking out at an entire green view than the next minute you are in the middle of a woodland forest. ”wow its fantastic’

Ella is a sleepy village a decade ago, it now attracts large numbers of foreign visitors. The main attraction is the stunning view through a narrow cleft in the hills, known as Ella Gap, and on a clear night you can even spy the subtle glow of the Great Basses lighthouse on Sri Lanka’s south coast. It is approximately 200 km east of Colombo and is situated at an elevation of 1041 metres above sea level. The area has a rich bio  diversity, dense with numerous varieties of flora and fauna. Ella is surrounded by hills covered with cloud forests and tea plantations. The town has a cooler climate than surrounding lowlands. The Little Adam’s peak, Ella rock, Ravana falls and Nine arch bridge, are the Most famous attraction between world travelers. Overnight Ella

Day 10.

Buduruwagala

  • Highlight : Visit ancient  Buduruwagala Raja maha viharaya

    In the morning, proceed to Waligama (via A-2 Colombo-Wallawaya Road, E-1-Southen Express), visiting Buduruwagala Raja Maha Viharaya en route. Buduruwagala is an ancient Buddhist temple in Sri Lanka. The complex consists of seven statues and belongs to the Mahayana school of thought. The statues date back to the 10th century. The gigantic Buddha statue still bears traces of its original stuccoed robe, and a long streak of orange suggests it was once brightly painted. The central of the three figures to the Buddha’s right is thought to be the Buddhist mythological figure-the Bodhisattva Avalokitesvara. To the left of this white painted figure is a female figure in a thrice-bent posture, which is thought to be his consort.

    After your exploration of Buduruwagala veharaya, drive south to Waligama and spend the rest of the day relaxing at the Waligama beach. Overnight Waligama>

Weligama

Sandy beaches, cove beaches, Hello and welcome to Waligama…!Waligama means “sandy village”. Waligama beach is one of the most famous beaches on the south coast of Sri Lanka. It is best known as the best SERF POINT.As a beginner, Midigama beach is the best place to ride your first waves.

When you have time after your beach adventure, visit the famous Stilt Fisherman waligama near by. Stilt fishing is one of the most interesting traditional fishing methods in Sri Lanka. Records indicate that it came into being in jest after the Second World War. There are also opportunities to try the activity if you are interested. Mention the breathtaking photographic views when the horizon is at its lowest at dusk. Overnight Waligama

Day 13.

Negambo

  • Route : Waligama > Gall fort > Negombo

  • Highlight : Discover the Dutch Fort of Galle

After breakfast drive to the Negombo visiting World famous Galle Fort en route. Galle is the most important southern town with an old – World charm. Galle is a jewel. A UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE SITE. This historic city is a delight to explore on foot, an endlessly exotic old trading port blessed with imposing Dutch – colonial buildings, ancient mosques and churches, grand mansions and museums. Built by the Dutch, beginning in 1663, the 36 – hectare fort occupies most of a promontory that’s surrounded on three sides by the ocean. Most travelers are utterly seduced by Galle’s ambience. and it’s undoubtedly southern Sri Lanka’s one unmissable site.

After the famous Gall Fort , drive to the Negombo wich was your last destination in your Sri Lankan stay. Once in Negombo spend the rest of the afternoon finishing up some last – minute shopping before you leave Sri Lanka. Overnight Negambo.

Day 14
