At the airport you will be greeted by  SURANGA TOURS  representatives and your guide who will take you comfortably to the royal  city of Kandy. After arriving at your hotel,rest and relax to recover from any jet lag. If you have spare time, our guide will take you to explore Kandy city. Visiting Kandy  market will be a wonderful local experience in your srilankan stay. Overnight Kandy.

Day 02.

KANDY..

Nestled amidst lush mountains in the north of the Island’s hill country, the Royal City of Kandy, 116 km from Colombo, was home to Sri Lanka’s last independent kingdom, surviving two centuries of colonial incursions by the Portuguese and the Dutch before falling to the British in 1815. The legacy of this proud tradition lives on today in the form of the city’s distinctive architecture, art and dance. 

After breakfast, morning visit to the world famous Royal Botanical Garden and learn about a diversity of endemic, indigenous and exotic plants in the garden. afterwards, visit  the Kandy view point and enjoy the panoramic city view from Kandy lake above. Later, exciting your Kandy shopping visiting at GEM & JEWELLERY, BATIK & SILK, LEATHER, SILVER & GOLD , WOOD CRAFT, and beautiful HANDICRAFT factories. Evening at leisure. Overnight Kandy.

Day 03.

Sigiriya

SIGIRIYA

Part hedonistic pleasure palace, part  fortress and part sacred  complex, Sigiriya is one of the Island’s most awe – inspiring archaeological sites and a leading tourist attraction. In fact some consider it to be one of the oldest tourist attractions in the world with early visitors recording their impressions as graffiti on a wall described as the world’s first interactive book. Located north of Dambulla, 169 km from Colombo. The site consists of a sheer rock that rises over 200m with the ruins of a palace on the top and a vast pleasure garden complex at the foot. 

After breakfast, proceed to sigiriya, afternoon discover the Sigiriya rock fortress, evening visit the Pidurangala temple and enjoy the stunning sunset in pidurangala rock above. Overnight Sigiriya.

Day 04.

Minneriya

  • Highlight :  Elephant Safari at Minneriya National Park

After breakfast, spend more laid – back hours at the hotel, afternoon join for included safari at Minneriya national park.Minneriya park is one of the best places in the country to see wild elephants, which are often present in huge numbers. Dominated by the ancient Minneriya Wewa, the park has plenty of scrub, forest and wetlands in its 88.9 sq km to also provide shelter for toque macaques, sambar deer, buffalo, crocodiles and leopard.The dry season, from April to October, is reckoned to be the best time to visit . Elephants,which can number 200 or more, come to feed and bathe during what is known as ”THE GATHERING,” and flocks of birds, such as little cormorants,painted storks, herons and large pelicans all fish in the shallow waters. 

After a full day out, we head back to the hotel well and truly satisfied. Overnight Sigiriya.

Day 05.

Polonnaruwa

Today your visit to the ancient city of Polonnaruwa. In the 12 th C. AD. The mediaeval capital of Polonnaruwa was one of the great urban centres in South Asia. Today, the well preserved ruins give you the chance to experience the grandeur of this period and marvel at the artistry of the Island’s early craftsmen. Located 142 km from Colombo, Polonnaruwa was the Island’s second ancient capital. Many of the existing ruins owe their construction to Parakramabahu the Great, the last in a sequence of warriors – kings, who developed the city on a lavish  scale. He is also credited with the massive artificial lake that lies to the west of the city, THE SEA OF PARAKRAMA.

After wonderful historical exploration, head back to the hotel, spend the evening relaxing. Overnight Sigiriya

Day 06.

Trincomale

After Breakfast  proceed to Trincomalee  Via –  Ambepussa – Trincomalee Hwy/ A6 Road. Once in Trincomalee, spend a day relaxing at Nilaveli beach, evening try traditional cuisine at a popular restaurant in the city. Overnight Nilaveli.

Day 07.

Nilaveli

  • Highlight : Snorkelling & Diving in Pigeon Island National Park

Pigeon Island, paradise for SCUBA DIVERS and SNORKELERS, is a national marine park and the second marine sanctuary in Sri Lanka and is situated off Nilaveli beach in the Indian Ocean, approximately two kilometres away from the shore. The island’s name derives from the rock pigeon which has colonised it. The national park contains some of the best remaining coral reefs of Sri Lanka. Pigeon Island was designated as a sanctuary in 1963. In 2003 it was re – designated as a National Park. The Island was used as a shooting range during the colonial era. The large pigeon island ‘s coral reef fauna is dominated by ACROPORA spp. With some MONTIPORA supp. Faviidae, Mussidae and Poritidae species dominate the coral reef around the rocky islets. Areas with soft corals such as Sinularia, Lobophyton, and Sarcophyton can also be observed. The coral reef harbours many vertebrates and invertebrates. Many of the 100 species of corals and 300 coral reef fishes recorded around the Trincomalee area are found in the national park. JUVENILE and ADULT BLACKTIP REEF SHARK are seen around the shallow coral areas. HAWKSBILL TURTLE, GREEN TURTLE, and OLIVE RIDLEY are the visiting sea turtles of the coral reef.

A full day to rest and relax. spend a  full day relaxing at Nilaveli beach, if you have a spare time visit the famous MARBLE BEACH Trincomalee. Spend the evening Checking out the beach bar and restaurant scene at your leisure. Overnight  Nilaveli

Day 09.

Colombo

After breakfast, proceed to Colombo which was your last destination in your Srilankan stay. Once in Colombo, enjoy some free time sightseeing on your own, Evening catch a stunning sunset at GALLE FACE GREEN. Later, enjoy a farewell dinner reminiscing over the iconic and unexpected highlights of your Srilankan trip. Overnight Colombo.
